1. Skip the Flu Shot: It will give you the flu and the preservatives in the vaccine will hurt the fetus.
2. You're Eating for Two: Double your servings and make them adult size because you have a growing baby inside of you.
3. Avoid Hair Dyes: The chemicals are absorbed through the skin and can be absorbed by the fetus. This will cause development problems.
4. Caffience is a No-No: Caffiene causes miscarriages, premature babies, and low birth weight.
5. Flying can Increase your Risk of Complications: Radiation, that is all.

1. The flu shot will not give you the flu and there is no evidence that the vaccine will hurt the fetus in any way.
2. The average pregnant woman needs only about 300 extra calories per day. 25 to 35 pounds is the normal amount of weight gain during pregnancy (less if she is overweight).
3. Chemicals from hair dye are absorbed in minimal amounts, but so small as to cause no harm. However, the smell can make pregnant women feel nauseous.
4. There is no apparent relationship between caffience and prematurity. It is only harmful in excessive amounts which is the case for everyone, not just pregnant women.
5. Small amounts of radiation do not penetrate the body well and you are more exposed, more often, to radiation on the ground.
6. If you are in the last trimester and close to your due date, then you should check with your medical physician first. But if you get clearance and are healthy, then you will be safe to fly.
7. Fish can be healthy becaue of omega-3 fatty acids which help with brain development and vision. Just stay away from fish with high levels of mercury like swordfish, shark, tilefish, and king mackerel.
